Lori L. Stephens
CLOCS Program Creator
A professional writer who is a life long resident of Ventura, Lori has dedicated her time to helping Ribbons of Life raise money to meet our short and long term goals. Lori also enjoys finding ways to help cancer survivors, and is the creator of our CLOCS program, Celebrating Lives Of Cancer urvivors– program that gives gifts to help pamper women with cancer. This happens at our monthly RoL breakfasts (aka “BreastFests”) held at Mimi’s Cafe, Ventura, the second Saturday of every month (see Events-BreastFests tabs). Lori encourages our supporters/vendors who are interested in donating items to our CLOCS program table to contact ROL@RibbonsVentura.org.
Karen L Brown
Karen is the consummate re-entry student, who believes in the power of motivation, life long learning and personal responsibility. Although none of her advanced degrees are in art, the arts have always played an important role in her life. Throughout her career as a Health Education Professor and Recreation Therapist, she has incorporated her love for design. She used the arts with children and adults in community settings and with special populations in institutional settings.
Karen’s involvement with the arts bloomed during her semi retirement years. She is active within the Ventura art community and plays an important role as the graphic designer for Ribbons of Life.
Mary Looby, EMT
Mary is an active volunteer supporter and EMT. She is RoL’s firefighter liaison assisting the Oxnard and Ventura City Firefighters fundraising efforts benefitting Ribbons of Life to maintain the new breast cancer resource center at Barrister Executive Suites, 1500 Palma Drive, Ventura, CA.
