We Make a Difference

We celebrated our 15th Anniversary at the November 11, 2017 BreastFEST!  Take a look at some of  the amazing community organizations we’ve had the pleasure to work with over the years. Remember to support them so we can keep the Money Local and serve our Ventura County community members affected by breast cancer!

We Make a Difference is dedicated to all our community neighbors who believe in and support the Ribbons of Life Breast Cancer Foundation Mission and Vision by handling fundraising activities.  They are sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, mothers, fathers, children, friends and acquaintances who have all, in one way or another, been touched by breast cancer.

RoL asks you to support their activities, as you support your community, by participating in the Keep the Money Local Program!

Here’s a look at the special people who are our Donors:

The Charles D. and Mary A. Bauer Foundation

exboardgrantacceptanceSandra and Doug Moe presented the Grant

to the Ribbons of Life Executive Board during September 2017 BreastFEST

The nature of RoL’s request was to establish a community partnership with the foundation to further enhance the life of survivor-thrivers by providing specific and individual needs to help significantly improve their quality of life through education, advocacy, emotional and social support.

The Bauer Foundation grant allowed Ribbons of Life to establish the Ribbons of Life Breast Cancer Care Project.  The project includes:  1) give two to four annual educational scholarships; 2) purchase and distribute specific immediate needs to those preparing for breast surgery, recovering from breast surgery, and/or during chemotherapy, radiation, lymphedema treatment; 3) create a tri-fold pamphlet with surgery, chemotherapy and radiation tips; 4) purchase and distribute books to be included in care bags; 5) publish and distribute “Breast Cancer:  One Word at a Time”.
